HSF Conversations: Teacher, Scholar, Shepherd with Morgan and Bracey

This past week, Teacher, Scholar, Shepherd: Essays in Honor of Robert E. Picirilli went on sale. Edited by Phillip T. Morgan and Matthew Steven Bracey and published by D6 Family Ministry, this book seeks to honor Dr. Picirilli’s scholarly work over the past seven decades and encourage new scholarship by providing analysis of his various areas of research. It consists of twelve chapters written by Free Will Baptist scholars, including HSF contributors Matthew Steven Bracey, Phillip T. Morgan, Jesse F. Owens, and Christopher Talbot, who analyze specific aspects of Dr. Picirilli’s work in theology, church history and philosophy, and practical theology and biblical studies. The book also includes four tributes to Dr. Picirilli from family members, denominational leaders, and colleagues. In this week’s Conversation, Morgan and Bracey have produced a long-form discussion of specific aspects of the book.

We hope you enjoy the discussion. Readers may purchase a copy of Teacher, Scholar, Shepherd at Randall House and on Amazon.

The HSF will take a break through the month of July but return in early August.
