Ketteman Student Scholarship Drive
Paul Palmer, John L Welch, L. C. Johnson, and F. Leroy Forlines: these are men that have become tributaries to the greater Free Will Baptist (FWB) movement. This month, we are giving particular emphasis to these men and their impact upon the FWB movement.
In addition to highlighting these men, we’d also like to highlight yet another tributary to which each of us are indebted: Welch College. In fact, each of the Helwys Society Forum (HSF) contributors received their undergraduate degrees from this institution of higher Christian education.
The month of February, our Free Will Baptist Heritage month, is also the month in which Welch promotes its annual Ketteman Student Scholarship Drive. Last year, the denomination pulled together an impressive, fundraising total in its International Missions Offering. If only we could do the same for this offering!
We at the HSF encourage you (pastors, deacons, trustees, associate pastors, youth ministers, teachers, and laymen—in short, everyone) to support Welch College in a tremendous way by contributing to the Ketteman Student Scholarship Drive this year. Please note that Welch has not asked us to endorse them in this effort. We freely highlight their fundraising effort of our own accord because we believe in their mission.
So, please consider contributing to the Ketteman Student Scholarship Drive—as churches, classes, families, and even individuals. No effort is too big or small. Our prayer is for the people of our denomination to sacrificially give, so that Welch College will continue to equip and train believers to accomplish God’s mission in this world.
The Ketteman Scholarship Drive is February 24, 2013. You may call 877.97.WELCH for more information or visit http://www.welch.edu/kssd.
